Eugene Klotz is a founder of Renaissance Floor In-Lays est. in 1989. As a graduate of prestigious School of Craft and Arts in Poland Eugene has designed and manufactured most unique hardwood floors using only his talent and marquetry technique as a method of hand cutting inlays from various species of wood. Winning 10 National Wood Flooring Association Floor of the Year contests has brought recognition and most demanding clients which list opens the Queen of Thailand herself. Back in 1989 when Eugene Klotz started his business in San Francisco he was the first pioneer on the U.S. hardwood floor market who introduced hand cut marquetry for decorative inlaid floors. After moving the company to Poland in 2009 he has found yet bigger challenges in Europe which have allowed him to create the project of a lifetime: 6000 sq. feet of hardwood floors placed in 13 inlaid rooms under one roof of a magnificent palace in Western part of Poland or a small museum, as he calls it where in six rooms he inlaid six marquetry paintings including 11 feet x 10 feet art nouveaux panel (see our Gallery). Most recently completed projects were produced for our German clients in Berlin and Stuttgart. Renaissance Floor In-Lays regularly ships its unique hand cut products to our clients in United States as our catalog has tripled its volume with new designs and decorating ideas within last 6 years. Eugene Klotz has always believed in talent, artistry and hand made craftsmanship. After 27 years in business he allways was remains faithful to these values.
